The webinar ‘Doing business in Canada’, co-organized by the American-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce of New York (AmHunCham) and HCCC, was held on 17th of May, 2021.

Tamás Barát, President of AmHunCham and Sándor Balla, President of HCCC, presented on how their organizations are able to support Hungarian companies aiming to enter the North American market. AmHunCham and HCCC are able to capitalize on their network of experts and well-found businessmen and businesswomen.

The program was moderated by Dr. Martin Zsarnóczky, Head of Education at AmHunCham.

HCCC board member, Kálmán Magyar, international lawyer and Managing Partner of the international law firm MB&O, discussed some specifics on the North American legal environment and shared his decades of professional experience on the similarities and differences between the US and Canadian legal systems.

In his presentation, Máté Árpád Igaz, Deputy Head of Mission and Foreign Trade Attaché at the Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto, presented business and investment opportunities the Toronto region can offer to Hungarian companies, especially when it comes to serving the US market from Toronto.

During the webinar, a memorandum of understanding was signed between AmHunCham and the INPUT program in Hungary. We congratulate both parties and look forward to seeing their achievements!
