The inauguration of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce was held on November 16th, 2020 at the Consulate General of Hungary, in Toronto. Due to the COVID situation, the event was hosted only in front of a limited number of guests.
The opening ceremony was preceded with a wine tasting and luncheon, containing a special selection of Hungarian wines and delectable dishes. Through a conference call, four of Hungary’s top wineries along with a market leading retailer presented their wines to the investors, businessmen and delegates of Consulate General of Czech Republic and of Republic of Poland.
The ceremony was followed with the introduction of the organization, along with its purposes and main activities. After a speech from Chair Sándor Balla, the Chamber was launched officially and welcomed by the Ambassador of Hungary, dr. Mária Vass-Salazar and Valér Palkovits, Consul General of Hungary.
