On 20th of April, on behalf of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, Sándor Balla, Chair, participated in EUCCAN’s virtual roundtable event. More than 40 chambers of commerce, business associations based in Canada and large European companies took part in the online gathering, which was opened by Stephen Klus, President and was moderated by Delphine Adenot-Owusu, Executive Director of EUCCAN.

The guest of honour at the roundtable, Dr. Melita Gabric, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of the Delegation of the EU to Canada expressed her commitment to supporting the European entry, especially Central European companies and products, into the Canadian market.

In the second part of the event, participants discussed the expansion of the CETA, current and future opportunities available to European companies on the North American market, with special regards to cleantech, agritech and medtech solutions, and all tools and techniques, that can help combat pandemic difficulties.
